Odessa was founded in July 1881 along the Texas and Pacific Railway, and the town’s modern economy took shape 45 years later when the first oil well came in about 16 miles southwest on December 28, 1926 — the start of the Permian Basin oil boom that still defines this part of West Texas. Kelly Bros Dumpster Rental Odessa has been part of that working landscape since 2016, delivering roll-off containers to homes, jobsites, and businesses across Ector County and the wider Permian Basin.
A roll-off dumpster is the general-purpose option: one container, dropped where you need it, sized to the job rather than a one-size-fits-all guess. We run five sizes — 10, 15, 20, 30, and 40 yard — and quote every job flat-rate over the phone once we know what’s coming out and roughly how much of it.
What we handle on roll-off dumpster rental jobs
- 10, 15, 20, 30, and 40 yard containers for any job size

- No permit needed for placement entirely on private property
- Delivery windows built around your schedule, Monday–Saturday, 7am–7pm
- Serving Odessa, Ector County, and the wider Permian Basin
- Straight weight-limit guidance before delivery, not a surprise after
- A local crew that sizes the job instead of upselling the biggest box
- Scheduled swap-outs available for longer or multi-phase projects
Which Size Fits Which Job
A 10 yard handles a small cleanout, a single-layer roof tear-off, or a modest yard job. A 15 yard steps up for a garage purge or a small remodel. A 20 yard is our most-booked all-around size, covering kitchen remodels, retail buildouts, and multi-room cleanouts. A 30 yard fits whole-house renovations and larger commercial jobs, and a 40 yard is built for ground-up construction and major demolition. Our size guide walks through it in more detail, or just describe the job and we’ll size it for you.
How Delivery and Pickup Work
Call and describe the job — what’s coming out, roughly how much, and where the container needs to sit. We’ll recommend a size, quote it flat-rate, and set a delivery window inside our Monday–Saturday, 7am–7pm hours. When you’re done, call for pickup, or set up a swap-out schedule from the start if the job’s going to run for a while. It’s the same process whether it’s a homeowner cleanout or a contractor running several containers across an active jobsite.
Permits: Rare, But Here’s How They Work
Placement entirely on private property — driveway, yard, jobsite, parking lot — needs no permit anywhere in our service area, and that covers most of the deliveries we do. Street placement inside Odessa city limits goes through the City’s Engineering Department; in unincorporated Ector County (West Odessa, Notrees, Penwell, Pleasant Farms, Gardendale) it’s the County’s Development Services department, with no fee for the permit itself. Other towns in our service area — Goldsmith, Midland, Andrews, Stanton, Monahans, Crane, Wickett, Kermit — each run their own city process. Our permit guide covers the full breakdown.
What Goes In, What Doesn’t
General household, construction, and cleanout debris is standard in a roll-off. Whole unprocessed tires, lead-acid batteries, and do-it-yourself motor oil are barred from Texas landfills under 30 TAC § 330.15, and CFC-containing appliances like refrigerators and A/C units need refrigerant recovered before landfill disposal. Asbestos, paint, fuel, and chemicals are never allowed in any container. See our full what can go in a dumpster in Texas guide for the complete list.
West Texas Weather and Scheduling
The Permian Basin runs windy from late February through mid-July, with April the windiest month on average, and that stretch brings hail and occasional tornado risk along with the wind. We build extra scheduling flexibility into that window every year, and we’re glad to talk through timing if your project falls in the middle of it. See our severe weather guide for more.

FAQs
Roll-Off Dumpster Rental questions, answered
What sizes of roll-off dumpsters do you offer?
Five sizes: 10, 15, 20, 30, and 40 yard. We’ll help you pick the right one based on the job.
How much does a roll-off dumpster cost in Odessa?
We quote flat-rate over the phone based on size and expected debris — we don’t publish prices online since every job varies. See our cost guide for what factors into pricing, or call (432) 237-3426 for a number.
Do I need a permit for a roll-off dumpster?
Not if it sits entirely on private property. Street placement requires a permit that varies by jurisdiction — see our permit guide for the breakdown.
How fast can you deliver?
Often the same day if you call early and a truck is free on your route — see our same-day dumpster rental page. Otherwise we’ll get you on the next available slot.
Do you serve towns outside Odessa?
Yes — Ector County and the wider Permian Basin, including Midland, Andrews, Stanton, Monahans, Crane, Wickett, and Kermit. See our locations page for the full list.
Can I keep the dumpster for more than a few days?
Yes, we work around your project timeline rather than a fixed rental window. Tell us roughly how long you’ll need it when you book.
